Life is sticky... our insecurities, parenting, relationships, pursuing our dreams, finances, pressures, judgments… it's all very sticky. And so are some of my favorite foods! Let’s stop wasting time trying to make it all perfect, and instead, embrace the sticky chaos and still make something delicious out of it.
On this page, you’ll find some of my favorite recipes I make for my family and friends. My hope is that you will approach both life and cooking in the same way
Pie Crust
Ingredients
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) very cold unsalted butter, cubed
Approximately 3/4 to 1 cup ice cold water
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt and sugar.
Cut in butter, using a pastry cutter or two knives, leaving small chunks of butter in the mixture.
Slowly add ice cold water to the mixture, a little at a time, forming into a dough. (You might not need all the water.)
Divide dough into 2 pieces and wrap each piece in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Using a rolling pin, roll each piece of dough out on a floured surface.
